As reported earlier, today Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra officially tied the knot in a Christian ceremony in India, and will have a Hindu ceremony tomorrow. And while the newlyweds haven’t (as of Saturday morning) released any pictures from the first nuptials, they did just post snaps from their Mehendi party, and it looks like everyone had the best time.

In Hindu culture, the Mehendi party is a pre-wedding celebration where the bride and bridal party get henna tattoos applied to their hands and feet. There are often also musical and dance performances, lots of food, and, per Martha Stewart Weddings, “the event often has a lounge feel, with colorful pillows.”

We’d say this one had more of a VIP lounge feel. Yes, that’s Chopra’s future sister-in-law Sophie Turner sitting on her right. In the pictures—Nick and Priyanka posted the same images and text from their respective Instagram accounts—everyone is laughing, clapping, and literally carrying one another around. In a particularly gorgeous shot, Chopra twirls in a colorful dress that has us seriously rethinking this whole “monochrome outfit” idea.

Of the special event, the couple wrote, “One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.”

A few days earlier, Chopra Instagrammed another shot of the extended, blended family having some casual fun. “Friends…family” she captioned a pic of men and women from both sides of the aisle (wedding, not political) smiling and drinking.

Having called off her engagement to her then boyfriend of five years, Taylor Kinney, in July of 2016, Lady Gaga revealed that she’s once again engaged when she thanked her “fiancé,” Christian Carino, during a speech she gave in October of 2018. Naturally, she shared the news via the cover of Goop Magazine‘s Love and Sex issue, though kept things much more low-key when they quietly wed in September.
