Stars no longer need to call a press conference to announce they’ve hooked up. Instead, they’re taking things into their own hands on Instagram. This week, actress Amber Heard and entrepreneur Elon Musk announced their relationship by posting coordinating, PDA-filled photos to their accounts.
The Weeknd announced his relationship with Selena Gomez with a dark, caption-less post.
Gomez, the reigning queen of Instagram, made it official on her own account just days later at Coachella.
Taking a more discreet approach, Jennifer Lopez posted a photo of her feet–along with those of her rumored boyfriend, the baseball player Alex Rodriguez.
In 2016, Ariana Grande posted this cute picture of herself with her boyfriend, the musician Mac Miller.
Although she’s engaged to Evan Spiegel, the co-founder of Snapchat, Miranda Kerr made an Instagram announcement as well.
In 2015, Tyga announced his relationship with now-ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner in a corny but cute caption.
Ciara and Russell Wilson are now a married couple, with a child on the way, but they too made their official relationship announcement on Instagram.
