“I saw this parasol in a vintage store in Stockholm and thought, Everyone needs a bandanna umbrella! And then I realized it perfectly matched a vintage Giorgio di Sant’Angelo ensemble I already owned. I like to think of it as fashion’s answer to sunscreen! And I’m not the only one with umbrellas on the brain: Gucci showed them on the fall runway.”

“How gorgeous are these cashmere scarves? They’re from the store Russo Capri. The patterns come from the designs on antique ceramic tiles.”

“I went to Rome for the kickoff of a 30th-birthday celebration for Bianca Brandolini d’Adda. My sister Sara [right] gave Bianca [center] one of her bags with Bianca’s name on it. So when we posed for a photo, Bianca said, ‘I don’t need to show my face—
I can just show the bag.’ ”

“Bianca’s party continued at La Posta Vecchia Hotel, on the coast outside of Rome. Here she is with Valentino. They look so cute, and it’s clear they are dear friends.”

“On the last day of her birthday extravaganza, Bianca threw
a picnic at La Posta Vecchia. Everybody was hung over, and yet Peter Dundas and his boyfriend, Evangelo Bousis [from top], somehow managed to look incredibly glamorous.”

“These Christian Louboutin shoes remind me of disco balls, but, for some reason, I put them on first thing in the morning with my bathrobe. It’s the ultimate day-to-night look!”

“When I was at Design Miami/Basel in Switzerland, I fell in love with this vignette at the Galerie Jacques Lacoste booth. The bed, lamps, and chair are all by the French designer Jean Royère, and the trunk is by Alexandre Noll. The color palette is perfect.”
