Christopher Shannon Has a Direct Message for Haters
Christopher Shannon put everything out in the open for Spring 2017 at London Collections: Men. And we’re not just talking about male models unzipping their pants to reveal “Cute” briefs. The designer showed sweatshirts embroidered with a parody Internet URL to both “Haters Direct” and “Lovers Direct,” which perhaps depends on how you feel about his use of denim. This season, Shannon experimented with layers (why not wear three pairs at once?), texture, and embellishments. These are not your dad’s jeans.
