When it comes to beauty looks, the Victoria’s Secret Angels are all about a signature look and sticking to it: glowing, dewy skin, sunkissed glows, glossy lips, and, of course, messy, bombshell waves. But as the final weeks of 2017 come to a close, we may have a new Angel signature, just in time for the holiday season: the tight, slicked-back, not-so-preppy high ponytail.

Last night, Taylor Hill, Lais Ribeiro and Elsa Hosk all stepped out on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show viewing party red carpet in sleek, high ponytails, with each Angel taking on her own unique variation of the hairstyle and, in turn, proving that the power ponytail is your next go-to look this season.

Hill flaunted a rather dramatic look with her swept back brunette locks, paired with a red, black and white striped Mugler dress and chandelier statement earrings sporting a dramatic, smokey cat eye by makeup artist Carolina Gonzalez. The model playfully joked on Instagram stories about chopping off her hair into a model-approved lob, but seemed to be plenty pleased with the long ponytail when working the red carpet.

Swedish model Hosk, who recently ditched her long, platinum locks for an aforementioned lob (perhaps where Hill got her potential inspiration from) opted for a more playful approach. With makeup artist Vincent Oquendo painting a glittered golden cat eye with a nude lip, hairstylist Benoit Moeyaert helped to create a faux high pony with tousled curls to finish off Hosk’s ’60s inspired ‘do.

Taking a more natural approach, Ribeiro proved that dewy skin and a vibrant red lip were the ultimate beauty accessories to her messy ponytail, which paired well with her simple black velvet dress for a look that screamed ’90s chicness.

And while the remaining Angels like veterans Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel stayed true to their polished waves and sleek curls, it’s likely only a matter of time until they take note of the newbies and go for a power pony of their own.
