Travis Scott, Avengers Superfan, Dressed Up Like Iron Man for His Birthday
Travis Scott celebrated his upcoming 28th birthday by wearing an Iron Man costume to a screening of Avengers: Endgame.
It is a historic week for Avengers fans, with the anticipated Avengers: Endgame finale hitting theaters today. One of those superfans just happens to be none other than Travis Scott.
The Kardashian family joined forces to put together a screening of Avengers: Endgame to celebrate the rapper’s upcoming 28th birthday.
Kim Kardashian West took an Instagram Stories video of the inside of the theater just before the movie started so as not to spoil the contents of the three-hour event. What she did reveal, however, was a buffet of candy and movie theater snacks, as well as a cake that featured miniature figurines of Scott dressed as Iron Man, baby Stormi, and “Captain LipKit” herself, Kylie Jenner.
The rapper has revealed himself to be quite the nerd lately when it comes to his pop culture interests. He gave a spoiler-free review of Avengers: Endgame (“Got to Watch avengers today wit da fam oh my geeze !!!!” he wrote on Instagram Stories), and Jenner shared some photos of herself with Scott and Stormi dressed up just like their cake figurines.
“Happy end game everyone,” she wrote in the caption of one picture, and “oh you didn’t catch iron flame and captain lip kit in the credits? sucks 4 you,” in another.
This level of dedication to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is nothing, however, when you consider the fact that Scott has another fantasy franchise on his mind these days: Game of Thrones. The rapper recorded a song with SZA and the Weeknd for the soundtrack of the show’s eighth and final season, called “Power Is Power,” and were reportedly filming the music video earlier this week.
Scott’s Westeros gear rivals his Avengers gear, and if he had a seal, it might read something like, “House of Flame / Son of lord Jacques B Webster the 1st / Husband of the Goddess K? / Protector of the Seven Kingdoms / Blatt,” or at least that’s what he shared on Instagram along with a photo of himself wearing Game of Thrones–inspired chain mail armor. If the series weren’t ending, they could have at least rewarded his dedication with a walk-on role.
