Golden Globes 2017: See Blake Lively, Sarah Jessica Parker and More Get Ready for the Red Carpet
What does it take to get the stars ready for the Golden Globes red carpet? A village—especially one populated by fully-loaded glam squads. Some of Hollywood’s biggest names (and tonight’s nominees)—from Mandy Moore, who hasn’t been to the Globes in six years, to Sarah Jessica Parker, who is returning to the awards show for the first time in a decade—gave glimpses into their pre-award show routines via Instagram. The preparations range from manicures to pregames to a plethora of sheet masks: Here’s a look at Hollywood’s A-listers getting ready for the 2017 Golden Globes.
The Shallows star—whose husband Ryan Reynolds is nominated for a Globe tonight—gave us a peek into her glam look for the evening, while also keeping it real: “I did not wake up like this,” she captioned her Instagram.
Amy Schumer
Schumer’s trademark sarcastic humor has been on point all weekend (see here{: rel=nofollow} and here{: rel=nofollow}), and her getting-ready shot is no exception: “Getting ready is so hardddddd!” she wrote on Instagram. “I have to sit here and breathe.”
Kristen Bell
Make-up free and matcha is the theme of Bell’s getting ready snapshot.
Gina Rodriguez
The Jane the Virgin star (and Golden Globe nominee) was already celebrating during her Globes preparations: “Today is a great day, I can and I will,” she wrote on Instagram. “Third nomination, fourth season renewal, and family, friends, cast, and supporters that have all helped me get here.”
Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel chronicled her glam squad’s efforts (and their pregame) in a series of Instagrams.
Mandy Moore
The This Is Us star (and Golden Globe nominee) also gave a snap-by-snap shot of her getting ready process, from the mani to the limo.
Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore shows no shame in revealing her pre-awards show game: A hydrating sheet mask.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus
While the Veep star appears to prefer pore cleansing strips as a part of her getting ready routine.
And La La Land star—and Golden Globe nominee—Emma Stone opted for a Korean skincare lip mask, because chapped lips and red carpets don’t mix.
Maisie Williams
More masks: Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams paired hers with an hour-long bath.
Jessica Chastain
Masks are apparently critical to red carpet prep, as Jessica Chastain reiterates.
Sarah Jessica Parker
Also spotted: SJP’s fishtail extensions. Not spotted: SJP herself.
Goldie Hawn
And then there was Goldie Hawn, being Goldie Hawn.
