Slick Woods Flaunted Her Baby Bump on Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Runway
The pregnant model and Rihanna muse showed off her belly during the Savage x Fenty Spring 2019 runway show.
Slick Woods and her yet-to-be-born baby upstaged just about everybody at Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty spring 2019 runway show, ending Fashion Week with one final example of this season’s biggest trend: moms.
On Wednesday night, Rihanna closed out New York Fashion Week inside of a Brooklyn Navy Yard warehouse. As spectators crowded inside, they were greeted with rosé champagne and foldable maps which detailed the biosphere Rihanna curated for the occasion. The entire warehouse was converted into an ecosystem of botanic gardens, deserts, hydroponics stations, and laboratories, for the most Mother Nature–friendly slumber party anyone has ever seen.
In May, Woods exclusively told W that Rihanna’s new lingerie line would be “bodacious,” including at least 46 different sizes and 90 styles. On the runway, as the pregnant model emerged from the “growing station,” sauntered through one of the botanical domes, and made her way through the “desert,” she was accompanied by a cast of dancers, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Duckie Thot, and Paloma Elsesser. Models and dancers of all sizes—including another pregnant model—made their way through the maze of worlds Rihanna built for her Savage x Fenty show, while wearing the Spring 2019 lingerie collection. Woods proudly cradled her baby bump, clad in a one-piece with cutouts perfect for flaunting her maternity belly, as Auntie Rih sneaked behind her to greet the crowd at the end of the show.

At this point, Wood’s baby bump has become one of her signatures, almost just as much as her shaved head and gap-toothed smile, but the 22-year-old model should be due to give birth to her baby, Saphir (with the father being fellow model Adonis Bosso, just about any day this fall.
