Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham Are Now Parents
Life is about to get a little more action-packed for the stars of Transformers: Dark of the Moon and The Fate of the Furious: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and fiancé Jason Statham welcomed their first child over the weekend.
On Wednesday morning, Huntington-Whiteley posted a black-and-white close-up photo to Instagram of her newborn holding onto his mom’s finger with his tiny hand. “Our little man arrived! Jack Oscar Statham 8.8 lbs on Saturday June 24th. ??❤️,” she captioned the sweet picture, which shows baby Jack’s striped onesie-clad tummy but not his undoubtedly adorable face. Her caption also clears up all of our questions about whether the new parents would make their child learn to spell not one but three last names — “Huntington-Whiteley-Statham.”
The 30-year-old model and actress also used Instagram to announce her pregnancy earlier this year. In February, she posted a photo (captured by Statham, unexpected “Instagram husband“) of her kneeling on a beach, wearing a bikini and showing off her baby bump. “Very happy to share that Jason and I are expecting!! Lots of love Rosie x ❤️??,” she captioned the pic.
The British pair, who have been dating since 2010, revealed that they were engaged in January of last year on the 2016 Golden Globes red carpet, where Huntington-Whiteley showed off the $350,000 Neil Lane diamond ring that Statham, 49, had given her. And although the duo has yet to tie the knot, Huntington-Whiteley did try on a white dress for size at her baby shower last month. For the easygoing outdoors event, Huntington-Whiteley wore a white silk off-the-shoulder Self Portrait maxidress complete with pockets, a trapeze silhouette, and lace detailing across the shoulders. She accessorized with large round sunglasses, simple hair and makeup, and minimal jewelry, allowing her enviable pregnancy glow to work its magic. The shower itself was a relaxed garden party: Guests sat down to a light afternoon meal at an immaculately set, extra-long table under a wooden cover with billowing white drapes and posed for pictures with the mom-to-be in front of a lush green wall of ivy. If that’s how the Huntington-Whiteley-Statham household throws a party, little Jack is in for a very dreamy upbringing.
