“It’s very modern, clean, downtown cool,” said nail artist Jin Soon Choi of the beauty look at Rag & Bone’s Spring 2015 show. Choi kept nails simple, using one coat of her sheer nude polish Tulle and one coat of high shine Top Gloss (both $18, jinsoon.com), while representatives from Dr. Jart prepped models’ skin with the brand’s Water Replenishment Mask and two-step Ceramidin Liquid and Cream. Makeup artist Gucci Westman enhanced natural skin tones using NARS Optimal Brightening Concentrate with the Illuminator cream and Multiple stick (both in Copacabana, $30, narscosmetics.com) on the cheeks and a combination of Bahama and Never Say Never Matte Pencils on the lips. Brushed brows, black mascara, and Triple X Lipgloss on the lids completed the eyes. Adding a twist to the otherwise natural look, Paul Hanlon created a smooth, knotted style by tying the hair into a knot, then sewing it together with a needle and elastic. Bumble & bumble Thickening Spray added texture, while Classic Hairspray ($26, bumbleandbumble.com) kept things in place. “It gives you the feeling that it’s about to fall out, but it still has an element of craft to it,” he explained.
