W‘s beauty editor tests out three preventative antiaging products.

Though everyone knows that prevention is the best medicine for wrinkles and dark spots, marketing antiaging products to crow’s-feet-free 20-somethings has never been an easy task. Recently, however, a bunch of skincare companies have risen to the challenge. Since Katie Becker, W’s beauty editor, is still a few years shy of her 30th, I asked her to test their offerings. Her favorites: Shiseido Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream, with tightening botanicals and a luminizing powder to brighten dark circles pre-concealer; Sisley Sisleyouth, formulated to energize and protect young skin’s stem cells while moisturizing without causing breakouts; and SK-II Essential Power Essence, a serum for women under 35 that contains artichoke extract to minimize pores. Whether she’ll stick with them is anyone’s guess. Kids these days…
