Paris Hilton Has Too Many “Contracts” to Fulfill to Get Married Right Now, According to Her Mom
Now that she’s locked down her “fairytale” with fiancé Chris Zylka, Paris Hilton is in no hurry to walk down the aisle. Following previous reports that the lovebirds had pushed their wedding plans back from this fall to sometime next year, Hilton’s mom, Kathy, explained to Us Weekly this week the surprisingly practical reason for the delay.
“She’s got the new skin-care [line], so she’s basically been traveling,” Kathy said of her daughter’s workmanlike commitment to her brand. “She’s really been busy. … She has contracts and you have to fulfill all [of] them, you know?” That said, when the big day does roll around, Kathy noted that it’ll be spectacular. “I think it will be what it always was gonna be: beautiful and, hopefully, what [Paris] likes. She’ll have her say in it,” Kathy said.
And, for the record, Hilton’s fiancé has her mom’s stamp of approval. “They just get along and they support each other and care for each other,” Kathy told the outlet. “They’re so sweet.”
Regardless of her flexible wedding date, Hilton has already made a sizable dent in the wedding-planning process. In March, just a few months after revealing Zylka had proposed on a New Year’s ski trip getaway in Colorado, the heiress already knew exactly who would be in charge of their wedding cake. “Hansen’s cake,” she told E! News at the time, referring to the popular Los Angeles–based bakery. “I’ve been having it since I was little for every birthday party. It’s the best tasting cake in the world.”
The following month, Kathy confirmed that her daughter would be getting married in the same church where she’d tied the knot herself, and a few days later, Hilton shared that she’d officially chosen her wedding gown. “I did pick the final one!” she said at New York City’s Beautycon Festival in April. “It is so iconic and I can’t wait for everyone to see.” While it may be several months before we see the “iconic” dress, we do know that it’ll give off major “Disney princess vibes,” and, presumably, made Hilton utter the highest praise of all: “That’s hot.”
