North West Makes Runway Debut in Style While Kim Kardashian West Cheers

Kendall Jenner should watch her back.

It may not have been Paris Fashion Week, but North West got to show off her modeling skills as she strutted across a runway for the first time, on Saturday. Kim Kardashian West shared Instagram Stories of her daughter’s sassy walk, which was held in an undisclosed backyard.

North donned a matching red PVC jacket and skirt on the silver runway, while Kim could be heard screaming her eldest daughter’s name before she joined her equally cute friends for a final walk.

While she’s only 5 years old, North has already been touted as a style icon in the making, something that’s not surprising, considering her parents. From her Fashion Week debut to her post–ballet class getup, North has become sartorial inspiration even as a toddler. Earlier this summer, it was revealed that she even attended a design summer camp, where she held a fashion show at the end of the session.

This weekend wasn’t North’s first foray into modeling either: Earlier this year she made her debut in a Fendi campaign alongside her mother and her grandmother Kris Jenner. In it, North could be seen playing in the grass while Kim and Kris observed her. Kanye West even provided music for the campaign.

North’s runway debut comes just ahead of her father’s album release. While he’s kept details to a minimum, it was announced earlier this week that Kanye would release his next project, YANDHI, on September 29. It’s unclear whether or not YANDHI will be an EP or a full-length album, but Kanye shared an array of billboard mock-ups on Twitter featuring iMessage text bubbles with the project’s name and forthcoming release date. Kanye is also set to be the musical guest on the 44th season premiere of Saturday Night Live, which is timed perfectly to YANDHI’s drop.
