What: Celebratory cocktails hosted by the New Museum following the opening of “Surround Audience,” the third iteration of their Triennial.

When: Tuesday, February 24th

Where: The Boom Boom Room at the Standard Hotel.

Who: Co-curators New Museum Director Lauren Cornell and artist Ryan Trecartin were joined by a roster of emerging and established names including Josh Kline, Jacolby Satterwhite, and Olga Balema.

Why: While a crush of millennials dominated the scene at the New Museum, the after-party’s strict guest-list kept things civil in the penthouse lounge. But, much like the eye-catching work at the Triennial, the restaurant’s birds eye views made it hard to focus on anything—or anyone—for long.
