Designer Nathalie Trad’s new clutches are works of art.

Made from sturdy materials like stone, cinnamon wood, and stainless steel and formed into irregular shapes, Nathalie Trad’s clutches appear, in hand, like portable objets d’art. And since she launched them last year, they have drawn a devout following that includes Karolina Kurkova, Sienna Miller, and Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz. In fact, the royal co-founder of the Middle Eastern fashion emporium D’NA was so taken with Trad’s designs, she has collaborated with the Dubai-based designer on a new collection. The four styles, crafted from copper, shell, and wood embellished with a trompe-l’oeil marble technique, take cues form the Art Deco movement, in particular the furnishings of Jean Prouvé and Jean-Michel Frank.
