It’s obvious why Michelle (here on Sunday at the Opening Inaugural Celebration) has been loyal to Narciso Rodriguez ; she looks fantastic in his body-conscious designs. It seems the two share an appreciation for an updated classic shape. And I loved the combination of black and camel.

At the Monday night kids’ concert, Michelle wore what appeared to be the same mustard yellow J. Crew cardigan she wore on The Tonight Show back in October. We love that she’s not afraid to reach into her closet and pull out something that she knows works for her.

Over the past few days of inaugural events, we’ve seen plenty of winter coats–many boring, some fussy (think Laura Bush’s today). The Zero + Maria Cornejo black cashmere coat Michelle wore on her train trip to DC (below) has a playfully artistic shape. It’s nice to see something with a little youth and energy.
