Lily Aldridge Announces Second Pregnancy With a Bikini Selfie

Surprise! Model Lily Aldridge is pregnant with her second child. The news was announced with a bikini beach shot uploaded to Instagram with the simple caption “SURPRISE.” With a proud smile, Aldridge showed off the evidence of her advancing pregnancy to her 5.2 million followers.

There’s no indication when the photo was taken, and Aldridge’s Instagram stories today are full of a family trip to a county fair near her home in Nashville, Tennessee.

The California-born Victoria’s Secret Angel has been married to Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill since 2011, and the couple are already parents to a daughter, Dixie Pearl Followill, born in 2012. The pair first met at a music festival back in 2007.

In addition to her work for Victoria’s Secret, 32-year-old Aldridge is also a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue regular and a favorite of several high-fashion brands. In the past year alone, she’s appeared in ads for Jason Wu, Bulgari, Jimmy Choo, Carolina Herrera, and Lauren by Ralph Lauren, among others.

Despite her red hot career, she’s managed to balance modeling and motherhood just fine. Earlier this year, Aldridge recalled bringing her daughter on a recent swimwear shoot with several other models.

“All the models were babysitting Dixie when I was shooting, and she just loved it—she thought it was so cool,” she told W. “She thinks we’re called ‘modelers,’ so she was constantly like, ‘Oh, my God, the modelers.’ From the start, when we flew in with Josephine [Skriver] and Toni [Garrn], she just couldn’t believe the ‘modelers’ were there.”

Hopefully, Dixie is just as excited to meet a younger sibling. No word yet on the due date.
