Although there were a ton of rumors that the two were on the outs, Kim Kardashian West and her ex-assistant Stephanie Shepherd want the world to know that they are — and always have been — on good terms. In a new video on Kardashian West’s website/app, the beauty mogul was joined by her former assistant and friend “Steph Shep,” as she is so known, to put an end to all the gossip with the return of their app-exclusive “Facts With Steph Shep” videos.
In this installation, the women read various headlines and comments that relate to Kardashian and her family, labelling them as true or fake. The two chatted about Chicago West’s possible secret middle name (she doesn’t have one yet), Kim’s rumored inner thigh shrinkage (not true, by the way), and Shepherd’s decision to part ways with working with the Kardashian family. The headline read, “It Looks Like Kim Kardashian Ended Her Feud With Former Assistant Stephanie Shepherd.”
“You guys, we’ve never had a feud,” Kardashian West exclaimed to the cameras. “She wanted to go in a different direction and I respect that. I love giving that encouragement to whoever I’m working with, and just because people stop working together doesn’t mean that they’re feuding and stop being friends.”
Shepherd went on to explain that the false rumors were particularly hard on her, since she’s not used to being the subject of gossip, and she even mentioned that people at a recent high school reunion she attended were treating the headlines as true.
“We really never even stopped talking…I don’t get headlines like that,” Shepherd added. “I did know it’s not true, so in my soul I’m like, if it were true I would be freaking out.” The duo agreed that headlines and rumors like this are, ”really annoying.”
According to People, Shepherd has remained close with the family, attending Kourtney Kardashian’s 39th birthday and being supportive of Kim’s latest fragrance launch. So, time consider this rumor thoroughly debunked once and for all.
