Kiernan Shipka Got Out of Bed for the “Mad Men” Book Launch
It’s been nearly two years since the series finale of Mad Men aired, but it remains perhaps Kiernan Shipka’s most memorable role. (Of course, at just 17, Shipka likely has many more iconic roles ahead of her than simply Sally Draper.) She reunited with castmates Jessica Paré, January Jones, Jon Hamm, and Christina Hendricks to promote showrunner Matthew Weiner’s new book, Mad Men, at the Taschen store in Beverly Hills. Selfies were taken; laughs were had; and autographs were signed. And while Shipka was once the baby of the family, in the two years since Mad Men ended, she’s really come into her own on the red carpet and in the front row. So it was little surprise when she upstaged the rest of her on-screen family in a pair of navy silk pajamas by Prada.

Noted Dior darling Kiernan Shipka turned to Miuccia Prada’s quirky, ultra-feminine designs for a low-key Mad Men event, keeping things extremely low-key in a pajama-inspired look. Her retro waves framing her face and the pastel blue box clutch recall the look of the Mad Men days. Keeping with the chill lounge look, she keeps things simple on the beauty front, maintaining a healthy glow and strong brow and little else. And really, if you have to roll out of bed for a professional engagement, you might as well make it Prada.
