Inside Keira Knightley’s Former Apartment, Which Just Sold for $6 Million
Keira Knightley has played regal characters ranging from duchesses to Russian socialites, but off-screen she’s just a normal actress who lives in amazing apartments. Now, we know what that looks like, as images of the New York City apartment Knightley called home in 2015, which just sold for $6 million, have just become available.
The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home is located in Manhattan’s fashionable TriBeCa neighborhood and boasts two floors and 3,820 square feet of space. The apartment was originally on the market in 2009 for a hefty $8.4 million, according to the New York Post but was listed again in March 2016 for a reported $6.6 million. Knightley rented the home after it was listed for $45,000 per month.
The apartment received some recent upgrades from the current owner and features floor-to-ceiling Japanese sliding doors, and elevated foyer, exposed brick, 23-foot ceilings, and huge exposed wood beams. The master bedroom has walls that are hand-embroidered with silk, but the true centerpiece of the space is an enormous, and frankly, amazing cast-iron and mahogany spiral staircase.
The actress now resides in London with her husband, musician James Righton of Klaxons, and their 18-month-old daughter Edie, according to the Daily Mail, but you can still see how Keira lived while she was stateside in the photos below:
