Where: The Cinema Society and Olay-hosted screening of “Miss Meadows” at the private Manhattan workspace, NeueHouse.

What: The actress paired a black leather Saint Laurent jacket and white Zac Posen dress with perforated snakeskin pumps by Proenza Schouler and a very trendy pair of arrow earrings. A sleek twist bun and a shimmery smoky eye added a bit of edge.
Why: There’s something to be said for dressing the part. Holmes’s A-line dress pays homage to her “Meadows” wardrobe, in which she plays a prim teacher, while her black leather jacket adds a modern touch.
