Joel Wolfe, Male Model and “Blue-Eyed Boy,” Googles His Workouts
Meet the 19-year-old from West Virginia who googles his own workouts and models for Steven Meisel.
Before he joined Irina Shayk and Maria Borges’s squad in W‘s May issue for Steven Klein, Joel Wolfe was just your average – albeit blue-eyed – boy growing up in West Virginia. Now signed with Major Model Management and shooting for the likes of Steven Meisel, the 19-year-old with a serious love for Johnny and Winona – and cheese – takes a break from his busy schedule to share his grooming routine.
Your look in three words: Blue-eyed boy.
Never leave the house without: Hair gel!
Beauty from the inside out: Eat your vegetables, vitamins, and drink plenty of water. Don’t always feel the need to be a clean-plater.
Exercise regime: I just Google some workouts and do them in my room, and I’ve been staying active with games or sports outside in the warm spring weather. My metabolism really saves my ass though.
Snack of choice: CHEESE.
Grooming essentials: Dove men’s body soaps, coconut oil, 3D toothpaste/whiteners, and Got2b hair gel to keep my hair wavy and in position.
Skincare secrets: A gentle detoxifying face wash, coconut oil to moisturize, on-the-spot acne treatment, and a daily acne pill.
Haircare splurge: Honestly, I buy generic hair shampoos and conditioners. If it says “hydrating” or “rejuvenating” and I like the smell, that’s good enough for me!
Pharmacy find: Chapstick. I use it like a drug.
In-tub must-read: Not really a reader unless it’s a blue moon, but I’ll put on some chill folk music.
Dream destination: Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted to go to the Mediterranean…
Always in your suitcase: My skincare products, Evian facial spray, razors, toothbrush/retainer, mainly black clothing, and Vans or boots, depending on the season. Wish I could bring my pup with me :/
Fragrance of choice: YSL L’Homme.
Best advice from mom: Literally everything… I can’t count how many times life has proven her to be right.
Best advice from the pros: Eat healthy and use mild, organic products on your face to keep your skin clear.
Beauty icons: Lana Del Rey, Johnny Depp & Winona [Ryder] as a couple, and my mother.
