While 2018 has seen its far share of celebrity hair transformations, from Emma Watson‘s blunt bangs to Hailey Baldwin‘s watermelon pink-tinted locks, actress Jessica Biel is the latest star to debut Hollywood’s new favorite hair color. Stepping out on Tuesday night in Los Angeles while speaking at the 2018 MAKERS Conference, Biel debuted her newly golden honey blonde waves in an attempt for a softer version of the dramatic blonde makeover. Following in the footsteps of Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress Daisy Ridley, who recently underwent a golden blonde makeover herself, Biel and Ridley’s understated transformations are a refreshing take from the platinum blonde locks of 2017.
Taking to Instagram to unveil the 35-year-old’s new do, Biel’s hairstylist, Adir Abergel, shared, “NEW HAIR. SAME BEAUTIFUL HUMAN,” showcasing her effortlessly beachy waves. Biel’s colorist, Tracey Cunningham, also went on Instagram to share how Biel’s paint job only took, quite impressively, one hour. She explained,”My assistant @katmariesamson and I Have been slowly taking @jessicabiel lighter, but last night she wanted to go really blonde! We only had an hour to do her! I felt like I was on a game show, and I had to beat the clock. It took me 1 hour and 15, while Kat was diffusing the ends and I was pulling highlights…didn’t want to keep @hairbyadir , @karenkawahara & @tombachik waiting for too long!” And in keeping with her minimalist style, the star of The Sinner paired her subtle makeover with a light layer of mascara and a pale petal pink lip.
And while Jessica Biel’s glam squad had much to celebrate about the actress’s new winter do, it was husband and Man of the Woods singer Justin Timberlake who also showcased his approval on Instagra, with the endearing caption: “My boo thang looks gooooood!” And honestly, whatever you feel about Timberlake these days, we couldn’t agree more.
