2017 has been a trying year for celebrities in love. The past ten months has seen the demise of countless beloved celebrity couples, from Anna Fairs and Chris Pratt to Fergie and Josh Duhamel, and, most recently, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd. But on Friday, Jenny Slate may have single-handedly revived faith in romance with a single tweet.

“My boyfriend does many dreamy&generous things but number 1 in my mind right now is how he celebrates my new turtlenecks/let’s me show him my online shopping spoils&cheers me on,” the Internet-beloved comedian wrote. The boyfriend in question? All signs point to Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

Evans and Slate dated for just over a year in 2016, after meeting on the set of the film Gifted, but split up in February of this year. “He’s a lovely person,” she told New York Magazine after the breakup. “I don’t know. It feels like such a huge thing. Last year was a giant, big year for my heart. I’ve never, ever thought to keep anything private because that’s not really what I’m like, and now I’m learning those things, and they’re weird, kind of demented lessons to learn…. Eventually, when it was like, ‘Oh, you have these feelings for me?,’ I was looking around like,’Is this a prank?’ I mean, I understand why I think I’m beautiful, but if you’ve had a certain lifestyle and I’m a very, very different type of person — I don’t want to be an experiment.”

Rumors that the two has reunited began to swirl last week when the duo exchanged some flirty Twitter messages about the MASH theme song, because, romance, and were also spotted having dinner together in Atlanta, where Evans is filming the next Avengers* installment. But the real pièce de résistance came, once again via Twitter, when Evans shared a clip of his dog mimicking the sounds of a toy animal. Cunning viewers were easily able to distinguish Slate’s very distinguishable laugh in the background. And now, with this latest tweet, we may finally have some concrete proof.

Maybe 2017 isn’t all garbage.
