Jason Wu Spring 2015: Backstage Beauty

Charlotte Rampling’s simple, natural sophistication served as fruitful inspiration backstage at Jason Wu’s Spring 2015 show. Makeup artist Diane Kendal concocted super soft eye shadow, by first applying brown cream eye color, then using a Q-tip dipped in Lancôme’s new face serum to sheer it out to just a watercolor wash of sienna. With Kerastase mousse and strong hold hair spray, stylist Odile Gilbert, made fresh, wavy ponytails that were deliberately modern, but still recalled the glamour of Rampling’s days in front of Helmut Newton’s lens.
