ACCESSORIES

Naturally Refined

There’s nothing even remotely crunchy about these eco-inspired accessories.

Earthy fashion needn’t be confined to hemp skirts and Birkenstocks. Consider Dries Van Noten’s mustard-yellow ribbon necklace, strung with chunks of glossy malachite, the milky-green mineral found in Israel’s King Solomon’s Mines; or Lanvin’s soaring sandals, embellished with raffia, the stiff fiber derived from palm leaves. And then there’s Tod’s shoulder bag, lustrous proof that even brown glams up beautifully in rich alligator with contrasting metal hardware. Cast in rich, natural hues that call to mind the great outdoors—forest green, midnight black, mahogany— these are chic additions to any woman’s wardrobe.
