Gosha Rubchinskiy Is Sticking Around Russia for Spring 2018
The young Russian designer will show in St. Petersburg next season; the Cannes Film Festival announces its jury; and The Handmaid’s Tale gets a fashion collaboration with young label Vaquera.
Almodovar, Pedro
One of nine jurors selected for the Cannes Film Festival next month—he will be joined by Will Smith, Jessica Chastain, Maren Ade, Fan Bingbing, Paolo Sorrentino, Park Chan-wook, and Agnès Jaoui. They will judge a slate of entries that includes films by Sofia Coppola and Todd Haynes.
Get to know Cannes juror Jessica Chastain:
Bellisario, Troian
The Pretty Little Liars soon-to-be-alumna discusses what comes next, after eight years Spencer Hastings on the beloved teen drama.
Demme, Jonathan
The legendary director of The Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia, and Rachel Getting Married died Wednesday at 73. We remember Demme as a director who turned actors into icons.
Haim
Back with a new song and a video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the first sign of their upcoming sophomore album.
Hines, Richie
Richie Hines has walked for Chloé, Saint Laurent, and Derek Lam—but her most unusual claim to fame is her Instagram account, @girlsatcastings, where she draws fellow models like Bella Hadid in obsessive pointillist detail.
Kaiydo
Orlando rapper Kaiydo, born Keiondre Boone, is putting his adoptive hometown on the map with his subtly subversive turn-up tracks: “One part of my brand, everything kind of looks colorful and inviting or accessible,” he said. “You don’t always have to scream something at somebody. If you say it subtly, people are more likely to listen.”
Rubchinskiy, Gosha
Showing in St. Petersburg, Russia, after last season’s Kaliningrad runway, perhaps heralding a continuation of the Soviet-inspired themes he picked up from his childhood.

Vaquera
The Handmaid’s Tale just premiered this week, but it already has a fashion collaboration: The independent New York label Vaquera will show its sartorial takes on the series’ dark themes at a performance in June.
