Gigi Hadid Test Drives Her Own Makeup Line Wearing the Perfect Red Lip

As if the change in weather wasn’t already enough indication that summer is over, Gigi Hadid is invoking fond memories of warmer days all over again.

As Hadid gears up to launch of her much anticipated Gigi Hadid x Maybelline makeup collaboration (which as already sold out in the UK to no surprise), the model further proves that her Jetsetter Palette is just as wearable as it is chic. Turning heads on Monday night in New York City, the model stepped out in a show-stopping yellow sequined Prabal Gurung dress fresh off the Spring 2018 runways to attend a screening of Blake Lively’s new film All I See Is You, inadvertently mirroring the actress’ similar look on Monday morning during an appearance on Good Morning America,where she wore yellow Brandon Maxwell top and trouser and a polished dark manicure. Admittedly, while it may have been hard to miss Hadid’s own golden ensemble, it’s her vibrant coral red lip that truly made a major statement.

While Hadid has been known for her relatively minimal signature look of nude lips and neutral smokey eyes, the Maybelline model makes the case that a playful pop of color can be the ultimate upgrade to an already classic look. Wearing a sleek cat eye with a dusting of magenta shadow on the lid and an electric, matte red lip, the model finished off her look with a pair of embellished floral Lorraine Schwartz earrings and a sleek, braided high pony styled by hairstylist Bryce Scarlett. Thanks to Hadid’s longtime makeup artist, Erin Parsons, who further played up Hadid’s California goddess glow using the model’s makeup palette to create a “blinding glow”, Hadid showcased an effortlessly luminous glow and perfectly sun-kissed skin worthy of a vacation. And as the beauty trendsetter she is, Hadid reminds us yet again that gorgeous skin and a timeless red lip—regardless of the season—are the perfect accessory to any look.
