So much for saving the best for last; New York Fashion Week kicked-off with heavy hitters (Vera Wang Purple Label, DVF) and steadily rising stars (Alexander Wang, Rachel Roy) alike. And with the writers’ strike still in effect, star wattage has also been high. Case in point: At Rag & Bone at Cipriani 42nd Street Friday evening, Ellen Pompeo and Julianne Moore were seated directly across the runway from each other.
