Exclusive Music Video Premiere: “Start a Party” With Rae Sremmurd

What are the key elements of a good party, according to the hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd? “You need a higher ratio of women to guys. Alcohol. Balloons. And beer pong. Beer pong is life,” Aaquil “Slim Jxmmi” Brown told W before the release of his new album with brother Khalif “Swae Lee.”

It is fitting that “Start a Party” is the first track on an album that gets increasingly “turnt up” as it goes on. The single is self-explanatory: “Tell a friend to tell somebody / We about to start the party.” And in case you didn’t believe that the party was “lit,” in the video the brothers have a fire dancer, fireworks, and a fire pit to prove it.
