Emma Stone Just Got a Perm, Proving the ’80s Trend Is Officially “Back”
Actress Emma Stone isn’t afraid of trying new hairstyles. The natural blonde has experimented with various hair colors throughout her career, from dark brunette to platinum blonde and every shade in between, and her cuts.
Now, however, the Oscar-winning actress is playing with her texture. More specifically, she’s getting a perm.
Stone’s longtime makeup artist Rachel Goodwin revealed the news on Instagram, sharing that she and the actress took a trip to the West Hollywood hair salon Mare to get matching makeovers. Goodwin wrote: “We have a permanent bond! Some friends get tattoos, well we get PERMS! We’re here to tell you that they are BACK and they are not your grandmas perm! Especially when you are in the amazing hands of @mararoszak and @bykileyfitz at @mare salon #curlyisthenewstraight #alltherage”. Goodwin also posted a series of before and after pictures of her and Stone, showing off their matching hair curlers and newly crimped waves.
Since the Battle of the Sexes actress has never been one to stick to a hairstyle, we can’t be sure how long it will last. But we are excited to see Stone with a new look at the Oscars next month, where she’ll likely be presenting an award.
