What: A black-and-ivory silk dress by Bally.
Why: Patched with black and ivory panels and complete with swooping ruffles, this gown’s aesthetic balances somewhere between mod and a high-fashion Pierrette. But paired with Debicki’s neutral, minimalist makeup, it reads elegant instead of clownish — though Bally has recently turned to brighter colors, this gown has the look of the brand’s more classic pieces. The Night Manager star’s look is refreshing, if an understated rebellion, against a sea of celebs wearing all-black-everything in the midst of spring.
