Eddie Redmayne and His Wife Hannah Bagshawe Are Expecting Their Second Child
Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah Bagshawe just announced that they are having a baby.
The two announced Bagshawe’s pregnancy to the Daily Mail. A spokesperson for the couple said, “Eddie and Hannah Redmayne are delighted to confirm they are expecting their second child.” The couple are already parents to one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Iris Mary Redmayne.
When Redmayne, 35, and Bagshawe, 34, were expecting for the first time, they opted to not find out the sex of the child until she was born on June 15, 2016. And Redmayne has been a doting father since before Iris was even born. At last year’s Screen Actors Guild awards, the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them star gushed about how excited he was for his first child. He said, “We have this sort of dream of like wooden toys, and all that, and everyone’s like, ‘Yeah you always start off like that, but you end up with like iPhones!””
After his daughter was born, Redmayne took time off of work to be with his newly expanded family. “I love time off. It’s amazing and so it’s been great because I’ve got to spend the first four-and-a-half, five months with Iris,” he told People Magazine in November 2016. “I know that that is a very privileged thing because I speak to many mates of mine who have kids and they’re back into work, days or three later.”
Redmayne and Bagshawe married in 2014 with an intimate, “Winter Wonderland”-themed, candle-lit ceremony after dating for three years, though they postponed their honeymoon until the following June, when the actor finally got a break in his schedule. Hopefully the pair can sneak in a babymoon before baby number two makes its debut.
