Drake Hosts Bar Mitzvah-Themed Birthday Party
Hava Nagila! Drake, birth name Aubrey Graham—rapper, actor, and Canada’s favorite son—recently celebrated his 31st birthday and the guest list was totally A-list. In attendance, were “Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, G-Eazy, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Rowland, and Hailey Baldwin,” as well as Lamar Odom, Usain Bolt, and Halsey, Entertainment Tonight reports. (Baldwin may or may not be dating Drake, just as she may or may not be dating Justin Bieber, Canada’s least favorite son.)
The shindig went down the night of Monday, October 23, at Poppy in West Hollywood, though the venue changed the sign to read “Papi” (Drake’s nickname) for the event. The fête, ET adds, was reportedly set up to be sports and bar mitzvah-themed—funny since undoubtedly so many bar mitzvahs nowadays are surely Drake themed.
Before heading to the club, Drake enjoyed a more intimate dinner with his close family at Catch LA in West Hollywood. And later at the club, his father, Dennis Graham, gave a toast for his son. “As the party went late into the night, Drake was surprised with a marching band, dozens of sparklers, and 31 bottles of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rose,” according to ET. Which sounds fun, but did the guests lift him in a chair and parade him around? Was there any grape-vining to old Yiddish songs? Did anyone recite even one part of a parashah?
Drake also shared his “bar mitzvah board” from the event to Instagram. The board, much like a guest book, featured signatures from the star-studded crowd as well as pictures of the honoree. Thirteen-year-old Drake is no doubt envious of his older counterpart. But you know what they say: Started from the bottom, now we here.

Soon after, Rihanna and Drake got up close and personal for a performance at the 2011 Grammy Awards.
The duo reunited for a performance of their song “Work” at the BRIT Awards 2016 at The O2 Arena on February 24, 2016 in London, England.
A few months later, Drake would present the singer with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, where he would announce he’s been in love with her for many years.
Rihanna was spotted with race-car driver Lewis Hamilton at several events, including the the 2014 British Fashion Awards, but Hamilton claimed the two were just friends.
Drake isn’t her only co-performer that Rihanna’s been rumored to also have a romantic tie with. Following their own performance at the Video Music Awards in 2012, it was thought that the singer was dating A$AP Rocky.
Another rumored, never confirmed conquest of Rihanna? Justin Timberlake. The two were seen together at the 2014 amfAR LA Inspiration Gala honoring Tom Ford, where they both attended as a guest of the designer.
Rihanna reportedly spent a good deal of 2015 dating Travis Scott. The two were spotted with mutual friend Kanye West at the Vogue 95th Anniversary Party in October of that year.
And just the day before, the pair took in the French Ligue 1 match between Paris Saint-Germain FC and Olympique de Marseille at Parc des Princes stadium.
Just last year, Rihanna was thought to be dating none other than Leonardo DiCaprio, as they were spotted together at Coachella.
