David and Victoria Beckham Walked Their First Red Carpet Together Since 2015
David and Victoria Beckham have been married for nearly two decades, and they make regular cameos on each other’s Instagram feeds, so you’d be forgiven if it somehow slipped past you that they haven’t actually embarked on an official red carpet appearance together in several years. Worry not, however, since they remedied the situation on Thursday evening, when they posed together on their way into the UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw and Awards in Monaco.
The Beckhams looked classy as ever at the event. The artist formerly known as Posh Spice wore a black calf-length sheath dress with a plunging V-neck, completing the look with simple black stiletto heels, delicate jewelry, understated makeup, and beachy waves running through her chocolate-y brown lob hairstyle. David, meanwhile, opted for a classic black suit, which he paired with a skinny black tie, shiny black shoes, and a luxe wristwatch. The former soccer pro appeared to have gotten a fresh haircut for the special occasion: Though only the sides of his head were fully shaved in his and Victoria’s most recent Instagram posts, he sported a completely buzzed ‘do at Thursday’s event.
This appearance marks the Beckhams’ first joint red carpet walk since the 2015 British Fashion Awards, according to People. Their outfits at that event were actually quite similar to Thursday’s ensembles, with David wearing an almost identical black suit and Victoria keeping with the monochrome all-black theme in a chic tuxedo of her own.
The power couple came under scrutiny earlier this year, when anonymous sources, perhaps inspired by the Beckhams’ lack of official outings, claimed that the pair were nearing a split. Their rep swiftly shut down the rumors, however, and Posh and Becks further denied that they were anything but happy by continuing to post their regularly scheduled stream of wholesome, family-centric content on social media. In July, for example, the pair celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary with a romantic getaway to Paris, and have since embarked on not one but four family vacations with their kids. Add in this week’s quick trip to Monaco and, clearly, the couple that globe-trots together stays together.
