Dakota and Elle Fanning Prove that Coordinating Makeup Looks Are the Best Fashion Week Beauty Trend
Sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning stepped out at the Miu Miu show during Paris Fashion Week sporting similar beauty looks.
Dakota and Elle Fanning are one of the most stylish sister sets in the world, rivaled only by the likes of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
Unfortunately, the duo are rarely photographed together. (At least, it’s more rare than we’d like it to be.)
On Tuesday morning, however, the fashionable Fanning sisters made an appearance at at Miu Miu’s Spring 2018 show during Paris Fashion Week, wearing completely different looks: Dakota in a royal blue dress with an embellished collar and Elle in a strapless black jumpsuit. Their makeup looks were also different yet complimentary: for the occasion, Dakota and Elle each drew inspiration from the runway models, who wore black eyeliner paired with a wide-rimmed headband, but made the look their own.
Elle Fanning, who solidified her spot as a red carpet trendsetter this summer at the Venice and Cannes film festivals while promoting The Beguiled, stayed true to her minimal, yet feminine aesthetic by pairing a lined eye with a matte, ruby red lip. The actress typically favors whimsical up dos and polished ballerina-esque top knots on the red carpet, but wore her hair in sleek, polished waves at the fashion show.

Older sister Dakota Fanning opted for a somewhat edgier take, adding a pop of frosted blue eyeshadow with a playful swipe of teal eyeliner across the lid, finished off with a hint of blush and a satin nude lip. Like her sister, Fanning wore her hair down, but in a more tousled style, with rocker chic rocker chic waves.
