Chrissy Teigen Goes Makeup Free on John Legend’s Instagram
There are plenty of reasons to aspire to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s relationship — their awards show presence, their adorable family, their cookbook-worthy home dinners, the list goes on — and each day seemingly brings a new one. Such was the case when the Grammy-winning artist took to Instagram to share a picture of his glowing wife. “No filter necessary,” Legend commented on the photo which showed the model and chef makeup free with grown out brows and glowing on the boat they’ve been cruising through Italy on.
Teigen’s vacation glow comes courtesy of the Sardinia sun, where the couple are currently vacationing. If Teigen looks relaxed it’s also because she and Legend have been posted up around Italy throughout the past month, sharing their envy-inducing vacation pictures all the while. Seriously, who has had a better summer than these two, who’ve traveled everywhere from Laguna Beach to Bali and, of course, Italy?
For good reason, this isn’t the first time that Teigen has gone makeup free on social media. Over the past year she’s embraced her natural beauty and opened up about how long it took for her to do so. “There have been times I’ve cried to [my husband, John Legend], where I felt like I would never have ‘that’ body,” she said at Beautycon in Los Angeles earlier this month, as Us Weekly reported. “I also feel like I really want to be cool with my body because of people like you guys…That’s why I don’t post many makeup selfies, because I don’t feel anyone knows what a real face looks like anymore and it kills me that we have to completely wash a face or body out for it to get likes.”
It’s that kind of candor that Legend loves so much about Teigen as he revealed. “You know Chrissy,” he told Cosmopolitan. “She doesn’t hold anything back! I’m quite reserved, but being with someone like her inspires me to be open about my emotions. She brings them out of me because she’s so open about hers.”
