At the Alexander Wang Fall 2017 fashion show, Catherine McNeil was one of 5 models to undergo an extreme hair makeover. Guido transformed the 27-year-old model’s long, wavy locks into a chic, rocker-inspired pixie cut. Fortunately, she loves the look. Here, McNeil reveals her favorite products for styling her new ‘do, the best advice she’s ever received, and more.

Your look in three words: Rock-and-Roll.

A good hair day starts with: A good haircut.

Makeup miracles: Giorgio Armani makes an awesome foundation called Maestro Fusion.

Nails must be: I never wear nail polish.

Sheet mask or mud mask: I’ve used the Super Fruit Scrub and Mask from 100% Pure for a long time now. It still does the trick.

Bronze or blush: Bare skin is best, but I’ll use a little blush when I need it.

Beauty from the inside out: I’ve gone mostly raw and vegan, but I do love cheese.

Exercise obsession: SoulCycle.

Drink of choice: I drink all kinds of different teas these days. I love Kusmi Teas, especially the BB Detox.

Item you borrow from the boys: Leather jacket.

Product that you picked up from the pros: Guido Palau turned me on to a couple of great Redken products – Wax Blast 10 is great. It gives texture without having to use a paste. Also the Pillow Proof Blow Dry Primer Spray is a great product for protecting my hair from the constant exposure to heat and styling tools.

Appointment you’d love to nab: Guido does amazing hair, he just cut mine short for the Alexander Wang show, it’s really cool. So… I guess I already nabbed it.

Best advice from my grandmother: Don’t feel sorry for yourself.
