The legendary fashion stylist’s new online series, “J’adore,” starts with the basics

Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele

A stylist making the transition from magazine editor to full-time personality is sometimes a stretch, but the latest to jump on the bandwagon, the wonderfully eccentric, self-proclaimed legend Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, has proved that she’s quite literally limber enough to master the role. In the first episode of her latest digital media adventure—a new video series for World of Wonder—the bangle-and-bauble-covered editor expounds the gospel behind her over-the-top look: a love for layering animal prints (“All my life I’ve been a freak of leopard.”), the best designer on the planet (“Mr. Alaïa”), and faux fur (“I love animals. Better than human being.”), all while masterfully picking up her Manolo Blahnik-covered foot towards the camera and enthusiastically miming a quick sneeze. While her words of wisdom are reason enough to tune in, Cerf de Dudzeele’s irresistible voice—accent courtesy of Paris, tone courtesy Marlboro Lights—makes it worthy of watching on loop. In fact, the option to merely observe de Dudzeele exclaim “J’adore, adore” repeatedly is an option, as well. Thank you to all the fans.
