An Illustrated Guide to Brooklyn Winter Chic Street Style
When downtown eccentrics hit Brooklyn, the sparkles and rhinestones come out. In the latest Tongue in Chic, Marisa Acocella Marchetto gives us an illustrated guide to Park Slope winter chic.
“Dress to shine.” That was the only instruction on the invitation. Hmmm. How to interpret a call to sparkle? In Brooklyn, no less. If you’re a fixture in downtown New York like the modern-day dandy Patrick McDonald and the TV personality Lauren Ezersky, a woman who was once described by the New York Times as “a combination of Cinderella and Holly Golightly,” that means you pull out the stops and put on your best bling. So it was that this crowd of eccentrics headed to Park Slope on a recent Saturday night and delivered their whimsical, and high fashion, take on Brooklyn winter chic in the latest edition of Tongue in Chic by Marisa Acocella Marchetto.
