A striking Fendi runway look gets an upgrade with the addition of a gem-encrusted spider.

What: A cocktail party celebrating the opening of Fendi’s new Beverly Hills location.
What: A blue patterned gown from Fendi’s Spring 2016 ready-to-wear collection with blue and yellow heels.
Why: The perennially best-dressed model moves seamlessly between red carpets and runways, and here she effortlessly translates a bold Fendi look to the cocktail lounge (or, the Fendi shop-turned-cocktail lounge). It’s equal parts austere — high collar, nearly floor-length skirt, pointy-toed heels — and playful — cutout sides, a flash of yellow on her shoes, her waist accented by a belt buckle in the form of a gem-encrusted spider. She takes a classically lovely look and makes it just the right amount of weird.
