And were beyond adorable.

In Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s whirlwind three-month relationship, they’ve already gotten engaged (with a stunning almost $100,000 ring), moved into a $16 million New York apartment together, started wedding planning—and even discussed details like hyphenating last names. But one thing the young-and-in-love duo hadn’t done yet? Hit a red carpet together.

They saved that for the 2018 MTV VMAs, and (just like every other moment in their rapid courtship) their red-carpet debut was nothing short of heart-melting. Grande and Davidson were adorable from every angle: giggling, grinning, gazing into each other’s eyes, giving each other kisses. Hearts (and tweets) basically exploded everywhere—and if there were any doubts about the reality or intensity of their love, this red-carpet walk successfully eliminated them.

Since the duo barely even separated from one another’s arms during their arrival, it was difficult to get a full-frontal view of their looks. But the general consensus? Grande showed up looking like a silver Tinker Bell, wearing a metallic dress with a flutter skirt, thigh-high sparkly boots, and her gigantic engagement ring, of course. Davidson, on the other hand, kept things simple with a white long-sleeved tee, black pants, and sneakers—literally letting his fiancée shine beside him.

Grande’s sparkle will continue during the VMAs, when she hits the stage to perform her latest hit from her album Sweetener, “God Is a Woman.” And no doubt Davidson will be the ultimate hype man/fanboy/adoring husband-to-be in the audience.
