Exclusive: Virgil Abloh Collaborates with Kith on “Off-Palette,” a New Capsule Collection Modeled by Aleali May
A collaboration between Virgil Abloh, the designer who lead the high-fashion casual-wear charge with Off-White, and Ronnie Fieg, one of New York’s original sneaker-heads and founder of Kith, was inevitable. The only surprise is that it took this long to come to fruition. “We’ve wanted to work together for a while, and finally the timing aligned,” said Fieg. Today, the duo released a new capsule collection called “Off-Palette,” which blends Off-White’s now-signature silhouettes of oversized hoodies and crewnecks with Kith’s color palette of soft pastels. “The footwear and the garment dyed fleece, which are in tones of pink and taupe, added a level of sophistication, which we were both looking to achieve,” added Abloh. In addition to both men’s and women’s styles, Fieg also reinterpreted the Off-White Hiking Boot, with only 20 pairs being produced. So run, don’t walk. See exclusive images of the collection—produced by Kith and modeled by Abloh’s longtime friend, the blogger and Instagram star Aleali May, who he first met back in his hometown of Chicago—here.
