Accumulation of Juliette Dol
Grainy and dreamily out of focus, the photographer Sam Samore’s work often resembles a sort of stylish surveillance. It’s the ideal visual language for his new exhibition of pictures spying on the French actress and socialite Juliette Dol, which Samore took moments apart and spliced together as if they were frames of some French New Wave film. How better to evoke the slipstream of such fashionably wan ennui?
“Sam Samore: Accumulation of Shapes (Part One)” is on view through December 21, 2014, at New York’s Team Gallery, 83 Grand St.
