Young Brit Street Style Comes Into Its Own at Reading Music Festival

Though the Reading Festival was plagued with cancellations in the immediate lead-up to its weekend-long festivities — acts ranging from Fetty Wap to Haim pulled out throughout the week — that didn’t stop the party. Revelers descended on the festival grounds to see Chvrches, Die Antwoord, and A$AP Rocky (who cancelled at Reading’s twin Leeds, but assured fans he’d make it for his Sunday appearance) at the last major festival of the European summer circuit. It’s been described as a “rite of passage” for British teens; it seems that it’s here that they hone their cool, laid-back style.
