Philipp Plein Fall 2017: Madonna, Kylie Jenner and The “Hot Felon” Help To Make NYFW “Great” Again
Philipp Plein stacked his front row with celebs like Kylie Jenner and Madonna and his model cast with the likes of Pete Wentz, Young Thug and Jeremy Meeks.
Philipp Plein’s Fall 2017 show was something of a star watcher’s dream. Half the audience watched Madonna stroll down the corridors of The New York Public Library for a late entrance. In the front row, she was joined by Kylie Jenner, Tyga, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Coco Rocha Fat Joe, Remy Ma, and, oh, First Daugther Tiffany Trump. Nas, The Kills and 2 Live Crew performed. Meanwhile, the model cast was stacked with notables like “hot felon” Jeremy Meeks, Pete Wentz, rappers Young Thug, Desiigner, and Fetty Wap and some young scions like Sofia Richie and Anwar Hadid. Not sure who Philipp Plein actually is? Don’t worry. In an untraditional preshow speech, he acknowledges he’s asked all the time about “who the f*** is.” His answer: He’s the guy who put all of this together and wants to “Make New York Fashin Week great again.” Indeed, it was the German designer’s first show in New York after having shown for years in Milan.
