Met Gala 2017: See What Everyone Wore To the After Parties
It’s called the Oscars of the East Coast for a reason. When it comes to the Met Gala, celebrities know to go big or to go home with their fashion choices, and for many, that’s not limited to a red carpet ensemble. While this year’s gala was filled with countless over-the-top gowns, many by Comme des Garçons, a nod to the exhibit Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between, come 11p.m., the dramatics were toned down in favor of something shorter, comfier, and altogether more party-friendly. Some, like Lily Aldridge wearing Balenciaga boots, kept elements of their ensemble intact, while others, like Jennifer Lopez who traded in her goddess gown for a mini, opted for a new look altogether.
