Girly Men
Not only are men sharing the catwalks with women, they seem to be sharing hairstyles with them too. The prevailing looks can be narrowed down to a few ‘dos: the Gamine (or Gaman, in this case), piecey pixies combed forward into the eyes (MSGM); the ‘80s Mia Farrow, loose face-framing curls (Balenciaga), the Lob (Ann Demeulemeester); the sullen, center-parted bob (Costume National); the Jared Leto (Diesel Black Gold and Dsquared); and the Claire Underwood, short and stylishly swept to one side (Etro). At Rick Owens, Duffy’s cotton candy-like creations were akin to what we’ve come to expect at Comme des Garçons, McQueen or Yamamoto women’s show. Duffy understands the importance of equal rights.
