Inside Lorraine Kirke’s Quirky, Inventive Interiors

by Steph Eckardt

In addition to operating the West Village vintage store Geminola, Lorraine Kirke, the mother of Lola and Jemima, is also a prolific interior decorator. Published later this month by Rizzoli, Kirke’s new book Would You Like to See the House? is full of her quixotic quirks—a door on the ceiling, why not?—photographed by Patti Stoecker. With contributions from Lena Dunham, Julianne Moore, and Mariska Hargitay, it’s quite a full house.
