THE WEBSTER HOUSTON: GRAND OPENING

“It all started at Miami Art Basel,” explained Laure Heriard Dubreuil in Houston’s River Oaks Neighborhood last night, where she opened the third iteration of her boutique, The Webster. Dubreuil was encouraged by the many art collectors who frequent her store in Miami—especially during Art Basel—to open a second outpost in Houston, where many of them live. Texas legends like Becca Carson Thrash and Lynn Wyatt held court around the fantastically merchandised shop. Several of the designers whose collections grace the shelves were also on hand to celebrate. Monique Pean modeled some of her most recent pieces, while Adam Lippes shopped the mens shoe department for himself. The designers behind Tome, Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin, came straight from a holiday in Marfa, Texas. Following the welcome event at the store, attendees were treated to a private dinner at the nearby childhood home of Allison Sarofim, where guests mingled around the porch and pool eating tacos and other mexican fare. The evening was capped off by a mariachi band and a special Remy Martin toast (Dubreuil’s family business) as the crowd celebrated into the wee hours of the night.
